Let's Make Something Worth Talking About
I'm Kim Azcona, a fiber artist and the founder of K.Azcona Designs. I create bold sewing patterns and designs for bags and accessories so other makers can bring their own vision to life. This is not a pattern business that happens to have an aesthetic. It is an art studio that happens to sell patterns. My audience is made up of people who sew for themselves and others. Some even have their own small business selling their makes at markets and conventions. They spend money on quality materials and take the creative process seriously. Before dedicating all my time to this, I spent 26 years as a marketing professional promoting brands ranging from startups to major national companies. My background in theatrical costuming and fine art shapes how I design. My marketing background shapes how I communicate. Both show up in every collaboration I take on.
WHO I WORK WITH
The right fit matters more than the follower count.
I am selective about brand partnerships because my audience trusts me to be. If I recommend a product, it is because I have used it, I believe in it, and it belongs in a maker's studio. I am currently open to conversations with brands in the sewing, craft, and maker supply space.
What I am open to:
- Affiliate and referral arrangements
- Brand ambassador relationships
- Product features in patterns, tutorials, and content
- Long-term partnerships built around genuine product use
What I bring to it:
- A niche, engaged audience of sewists who buy supplies
- An active Facebook community of over 5,700 makers
- Content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
- A professional marketing background that means your brand is represented with intention, not just enthusiasm
AUDIENCE SNAPSHOT
My audience skews toward serious hobbyists and small business owners in the sewing space. They are there to learn technique, find quality materials, and see what I am actually making. That makes them a genuinely useful audience for brands selling tools, stabilizers, threads, notions, and sewing-adjacent supplies.

MEDIA AND SPEAKING
I show up prepared and I know how to tell a story.
I am available as a podcast guest, interview subject, and speaker. I am comfortable talking about:
- Sewing, pattern design, and bag making
- Building and marketing an independent maker brand
- Creative entrepreneurship and running an art studio as a business
- Marketing strategy for small businesses, including what actually works when your budget is limited and your time is not
I have a background in theatrical costuming, which means I have stories. And I have 26 years in marketing, which means I know how to make a point.
I am open to:
- Podcast guest appearances
- Print and digital magazine interviews
- TV and video interviews
- Speaking engagements at quilt shops, sewing conventions, and maker events
If you are looking for a guest, speaker, or interview subject who can go deep on the maker business side of things without turning it into a hustle-culture pep talk, let's talk.
