Meet Kim — Designer, Maker, and Creative Rebel
Kim Azcona Castaneda is the creative mind behind K.Azcona Designs, where art, sewing, and storytelling collide.
Her creative journey started with a deep love of art and theatre. After years of designing and building costumes for local productions, she fell in love with bag making—the perfect mix of structure, style, and self-expression. What began as a personal passion for handmade accessories turned into K.Azcona Designs—a space where sewists and makers can explore their creativity through unique handbag, wallet, and accessory sewing patterns and other designs.
A Little Bit Bad.Az
Around here, we call our most creative ideas Bad.Az—a playful nod to my last name Azcona and the bold, cheeky spirit that drives K.Azcona Designs. Every pattern is designed to help makers embrace originality and celebrate the fun side of handmade.
Whether you’re stitching up one of our patterns or rocking a handmade bag from our studio, our goal is to inspire you to make something unapologetically you.
